Internet Marketing

online-marketing

Having a first class website is one thing--getting your target audience to find your brand on the internet is another one altogether.  As professional marketing assistance is very expensive, many ministries are forced to turn to volunteers to bear the burden of selling their image to the community.  This can end up costing these ministries the edge they need to survive, to attract new parishioners, and to grow in struggling, competitive market.

When market your website we will develop a custom tailored plan specific to your ministry's niche.  We will optimize the pages on your site for specifically chosen Google keywords.  We apply the necessary changes to header tags, metadata, url's, and page titles.  When it comes to Search Engine Optimization (also known as SEO) or Search Engine Marketing (SEM) there are a lot of variables that need to be addressed.  Each of these variables factor into Google's search algorithm, which changes more than once a day.  That algorithm produces three different types of search results in Google and each of them can be extremely valuable to your organization.

Organic Search Results

Getting your website to show in the organic search results is just one method of online marketing.  These results are that Google believes will most effectively answer your query.  They are the most commonly sought for results and appear on the lower 2/3rds of the Google screen.  For example organic results, click here.

A local search is when someone Googles a local retailer looking for someone in a specific area.  If I need a plumber or dentist, the best in the business might come up at the top of Google's organic search, but they may practice in New York.  That doesn't help me in Colorado.  So if Google senses that you are trying to find a business near you it will show you results on a map of your current location.  Having your website represent your local business on the Google Places map is critical to helping your target audience find you.

Pay Per Click

You have certainly noticed the ads at the top and side of the Google results windows.  These are called Google Adwords and cost the advertisers a little money each time someone clicks them.  Setting up a Google Adwords account and advertising through these means can be a great way foryour ministry to get on the first or second page of Google and direct specific traffic to your website.  Google Adwords have a reputation for being very costly, and in certain industries they can cost tens of thousands per month or more.  But in non-profit industries the competitive adwords can be much more affordable and ultimately affect a tremendous difference to your site.  paid-organic-local-listing

What About the Other Guys?

Google isn't the only search provider out there.  Are you paying attention to your ranking in Bing or Yahoo?  You should.  While 83% of all searches are done through Google.com, that's 17% of the market share that way too many people turn a blind eye to.
